Cut scene to Young Jessica discovering her method the world through the streets of Chicago. Bright-eyed and hopeful, she studied theatrical outfit design at DePaul University.
Although outfit style was exciting, after three years in the major, she was afflicted by inner turmoil realizing that her heart no longer lied among pincushions and material swatches. Instead, she made a vibrant relocation and quickly changed her major to communications and media during senior year and– like the queen bee she is– handled a marketing internship immediately while tutoring at the writing center on school.
Her enthusiasm for costumes and clothes never left her, however. After a string of marketing tasks, she went back to school to make her master’s in fashion history at New York University. Her thesis and subsequent research can be discovered on her site and are definitely worth the read.

A Day in the Life
First thing in the early morning, our Anglo-American writer puts herself a cup of PG Tips– a UK tea company dedicated to sustainability, developing communities, and su-per charming videos– and begins little by reviewing e-mails, SPBs and edits. Since she has a more senior function, Jessica will typically have customer meetings and internal check-ins throughout the day.
Nevertheless, she’s an afternoon go-getter: “I’m generally the most focused in the afternoon, so that’s when I like to take on bigger writing assignments,” she states. “Offer me a couple of solid hours to write and I’ll be happily lost in flow state”– until her twin cats advise her it’s time for supper, that is!
Does this appear a little ordinary for our theatrical primary character? You’re definitely right.
Keep in mind when I discussed she’ll reveal you what it really implies to utilize your time carefully? On the side, Jessica runs 9 Golden Swans, a small company that she established during the pandemic (obviously).
While the rest of us were knee-deep in the Tiger King Netflix unique, Jess was diving back into her college design talents by investigating gems and jewelry. She started a blog that introduced her to a fashion jewelry neighborhood that motivated her to begin offering the vintage pieces she ‘d discover and refurbish.
As the proverbial ball kept rolling, Jess started creating precious jewelry of her own. And her once modest blog changed into a precious jewelry line of 14-karat gold pieces, morally sourced gems and eco-friendly packaging.
“I just introduced the collection this summer, and it’s been a lot of enjoyable to work on all sides of material development while constructing the brand,” she says.
When Jess isn’t creating unbelievable content for Brafton, creating stunning precious jewelry or covertly conserving the world, she has a load of creative pastimes she likes to do in whatever free time she has left (does she sleep?). As she puts it, “There’s constantly a work-in-progress hid someplace.”
In general, all you actually need to learn about Jess is that she’s easy to talk with, is an excellent individual and shares actually great advice. Whether you’re new to the company or simply looking for somebody to bounce a concept off of, she’s always there to share some sunlight.
