MullenLowe Group is happy to announce their continued partnership with Central Saint Martins, sponsoring their yearly degree programs and presenting the MullenLowe NOVA Awards for Fresh Creative Talent.

This year marks ten years of partnership with the prominent art, style and efficiency college, formed to support emerging talent, creative quality, and innovation. The MullenLowe NOVA Awards celebrate a few of the most extraordinary work from throughout the college by providing students a platform for acknowledgment and the chance to extend their believing beyond the instructional environment.

Jose Miguel Sokoloff, Global President, MullenLowe Group Global Creative Council says: “Over the last decade, the MullenLowe NOVA Awards have focused the attention of the creative neighborhood onto some of the most exceptional emerging skill. Central Saint Martins’ trainees have challenged us to view things through a various lens and taught us how to use creativity in reaction to the world around us. It’s been a benefit to give graduating artists, designers and innovators a platform for acknowledgment, and to shine a light on the artistry, ingenuity and quality of these brilliant minds.

“The Central Saint Martins degree programs are among my favourite occasions in the fiscal year, offering an exciting opportunity to stay in touch with creativity in its purest kind. I’m continually amazed at how connected the students are to the world around us and how they are engaging and responding with function. I’m sure this year will be no exception,” he continued.

Professor Jeremy Till, Head of Central Saint Martins and Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Arts London, says: “Over the past year I have actually observed the remarkable care and commitment from our staff towards their trainees and noticed the nerve and capability of those trainees to adjust to tough situations. As you go through the fantastic work on the graduate showcase, you will discover care, dedication, bravery and agility– virtues that show manner ins which an institution such as Central Saint Martins can and must engage with the global challenges of social justice and the climate emergency. I am delighted that MullenLowe Group continue to reveal such dedicated support to us at CSM, and that our longstanding collaboration through the MullenLowe NOVA Awards champs and celebrates the work of our trainees.”

From today, all candidates for the 2021 MullenLowe NOVA Awards will be displayed online at the Central Saint Martins Graduate Display, covering courses throughout art, style, fashion and efficiency. From 1,300 graduating students, 49 are nominated, 14 are shortlisted and simply 6 awards are presented to trainees whose work represents really original creative thinking and execution. The shortlist will be revealed in July and winners will be announced in an online event in August.

In addition to one overall winner and 2 runners up, MullenLowe Group customer, Unilever, will provide the #Unstereotype Award to acknowledge work that breaks away from limiting and out-of-date stereotypes. New for 2021, Imaginative Boom, a leading platform devoted to the creative markets, will select the winner of the inaugural Creative Boom Conscious Award, given to a task that reflects, reacts to, or champions lasting favorable modification in today’s society. For the sixth successive year, the winner of the YourNOVA Award will be selected by the public. Voting for the ‘people’s option’ award will open online later on this month.

Winners will be picked by panel of professionals across art, style and advertising. Amongst the panel, is the founder of the MullenLowe NOVA Awards, Tony Wright; the very first winner, Isak Åkerlund; and recipient of the 2020 MullenLowe NOVA Award and YourNOVA ‘People’s Option’ Award, Sandra Poulson.
